It has in fact sprung! So I'm eating a minty salad and I don't really want to draw it. Today is a photo day and if you want pictures you can wait til the sun goes down and I have to stop playing. So there.

Lambs lettuce
Happy bulk for a raw food dish. It has a blandness that does the job of starch. The overlapping leaves are really attractive and make a good trap for seeds and herbs. Yum.

three salads
I like doing lots of different things for tea. A lot of raw food changes and 'cooks' a little if given a couple of days this gives me easy, interesting food to integrate into the weeks meals.
I went in for felt tips and a little water this evening. I'm really enjoying playing with different media and it is giving me space to find how I want the work to look!

Ingredients
Vaguely Mexican spicy avocado salad ingredients in biro. I love the earthy fresh thing with this food. Not sure if it's a salad or things to dip in guacamole... Biro makes this really odd soft line. I like how it encourages you to feather edges and draw gesturally.

Lunch 27/3
Lunch today was a really basic salad in watercolour and pencil. Marinating the beetroot with herbs and vinegar gives it a softness that can be missed in raw foods. I like how the red tips of the lettuce blended into the green, that literal fluidity with watercolours.
What's for lunch?
Right, best get started.. think it's beetroot and walnuts...
